Summary

Oscar is working with highly-regarded global tech company on their search for a Detection Engineer on a 6 month contract basis. The office is located in Dublin, Ireland, and the role is being offered on aflexible working basis.

The client is looking for a technically-focused individual who can lead on strategic security initiatives and contribute to the company's ethos of continuous improvement with their cybersecurity.

This is an opportunity to work with a highly successful, worldwide business to anticipate threats, enhance defensive strategies and work closely with stakeholders to build advanced detection capabilities.

The Role

The ideal candidate with have strong technical skills to develop and enforce security standards and manage security tools. In this role, you will be mentoring junior team members therefore previous leadership experience is preferred.

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actional insights to then be shared with senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced threat-detection mechanisms
  • Identify detection gaps in existing monitoring capabilities
  • Develop and enforce security standards
  • Manage advanced security tools
  • Respond timely to complex security incidents
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead on security initiatives
  • Built detection capabilities based upon research and analysis
