As a Transaction Monitoring Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting the organisation from financial losses due to fraud. This position involves building and enhancing a robust transaction monitoring system and rule engine, designed to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Working closely with multiple departments, you'll help establish the company's fraud prevention capabilities and support global operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement a data-driven transaction monitoring system and rule engine to identify high-risk transactions.
  • Analyse transaction data to detect potential fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
  • Work alongside external fraud data suppliers to interpret fraud signals and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Investigate alerts from the monitoring system, manage manual reviews, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the tech, data, and product teams to refine fraud detection processes and improve system performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen the company's fraud prevention strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in building transaction monitoring or financial crime systems, ideally within Fintech or a similar environment.
  • Strong experience in rule engine development, data mining, and fraud detection technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver effective fraud prevention solutions.
  • Understanding of AML, CTF, and financial crime regulations is a plus (though not the primary focus).
