Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

  • Work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges.
  • Design end-to-end technical solutions that align with business objectives and scalability requirements.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and guidelines.

Technology Evaluation:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that best meet the organisation's needs.
  • Experience undertaking discovery activities to determine a strategic roadmap, business case, and project briefs that will ensure that clients' Systems will meet the evolving needs of users.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept exercises to validate the feasibility of proposed solutions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation phase.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure successful delivery of technology projects.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with proposed solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance in technical decision-making.
  • Champion best practices and architectural principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural consistency across projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, enterprise architecture, and integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence technical discussions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Have experience in agile delivery
  • Experience in application architecture design and SOLID principles
  • Experience in C# (.Net Core) and/or Java (Spring based frameworks)
  • Experience in object-relational mapping frameworks (EF Core, Hibernate or similar)
  • Experience with MVC Frameworks (Spring MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC or similar)
  • Experience with Git and use of feature-branches / pull requests

Qualifications:

  • Active SC-level security clearance
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of system design, software architecture, and development methodologies.
