Sonic Summary

The Interim Performance and Data Analyst position is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement for a duration of 3 months, with a possibility of extension.
The role requires candidates to have experience within Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and proficiency in SQL, report writing, and data management.
Key responsibilities include providing the Council’s Management Board with timely data, analyzing performance management information, and developing policies for data handling and information sharing.
Candidates should also be familiar with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and statistical software for detailed data analysis.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates are expected to have relevant experience in data analysis and management.

Key Responsibilities of the Performance and Data Analyst

Provide the Council’s Management Board with accurate, relevant and timely data, research and performance information that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, enhanced efficiency and evidence-based decision-making in the Council
Analyse performance management information, develop and monitor performance targets and support service areas in using data to drive improvement, contributing proposals for remedial action where required
Collate, analyse, monitor and challenge out turns and trends from performance management information to enable emerging issues to be brought to the attention of colleagues and advise service managers of implications to enable action to be taken to improve service delivery
To develop policies, systems and procedures on data handling and information sharing to ensure high quality data and outcomes and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Council’s services

Key Skills of the Performance and Data Analyst

Experience within SEND
Experience with SQL Knowledge, Report writing, SSRS
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Power Query
Experience of data management, including capturing data, organising data in line with recognised standards and sharing data securely in line with legislation
Experience in using statistical software to carry out detailed data analysis including the development of information systems and processes, combining data from various sources to produce information which is relevant and fit for purpose and assessing the suitability of different ICT solutions
