Interim Performance and Data Analyst

Location: London, hybrid working

Length: 3 months (Possibility of extension)

IR35 Status: Inside

Key Responsibilities of the Performance and Data Analyst

  • Provide the Council’s Management Board with accurate, relevant and timely data, research and performance information that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, enhanced efficiency and evidence-based decision-making in the Council
  • Analyse performance management information, develop and monitor performance targets and support service areas in using data to drive improvement, contributing proposals for remedial action where required
  • Collate, analyse, monitor and challenge out turns and trends from performance management information to enable emerging issues to be brought to the attention of colleagues and advise service managers of implications to enable action to be taken to improve service delivery
  • To develop policies, systems and procedures on data handling and information sharing to ensure high quality data and outcomes and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Council’s services

Key Skills of the Performance and Data Analyst

  • Experience within SEND
  • Experience with SQL Knowledge, Report writing, SSRS
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Power Query
  • Experience of data management, including capturing data, organising data in line with recognised standards and sharing data securely in line with legislation
  • Experience in using statistical software to carry out detailed data analysis including the development of information systems and processes, combining data from various sources to produce information which is relevant and fit for purpose and assessing the suitability of different ICT solutions
