We are looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst to join a leading London city law firm. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising their critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background in managing IT infrastructure within a legal or professional services environment. You will work closely with the firm's IT staff to ensure that their systems are robust, secure, and capable of meeting the demands of a technology-driven business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimise the firm’s critical IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage and maintain server, network, and storage environments.
  • Ensure the firm’s IT infrastructure complies with industry standards and best practices for security and data protection.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Document infrastructure processes, configurations, and changes accurately.
  • Provide support and guidance to the IT team on infrastructure-related matters.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in IT infrastructure technologies and recommend improvements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an IT infrastructure role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of server, network, and storage technologies.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud services and solutions.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining system performance and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of legal industry-specific applications and systems.

Team Structure:

You will be part of a dedicated IT infrastructure team of four, led by the Infrastructure Tech Lead. This collaborative team environment will allow you to contribute your expertise and learn from experienced colleagues.
