Storage Engineer, fully remote, Linux, Unix, Windows

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, are looking to hire a Storage Specialist for a 6 month assignment.

You will join a team that manages open Systems Storage (VMware, Windows, Unix) estate. Including, BAU work support e.g. upgrades, patching, storage allocations, backups, incident support.

Please note: Engagement is via umbrella company only.

Service can be provided on a fully remote basis.

General responsibilities: -

  • Infrastructure checks and responding accordingly
  • Storage Provisioning and allocation
  • Backup and restore
  • General Upgrades

Experience required:-

  • Solid understanding of the principles of resilience and operability in an enterprise storage environment.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering objectives.
  • A broad understanding of surrounding IT infrastructure e.g. hardware, networking
  • An ability to assimilate and understand complexity under pressure
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
