CDM Architect Specialist
We are looking for a proactive Principal Designer with expertise in CDM and Building Regulations to join a growing Architect support team. This role involves working both within an in-house design teams and alongside external consultants, ensuring compliance and best practices in construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise project teams, including clients, on Building Regulations and the Principal Designer's role under both CDM and Building Regulations.
* Support and guide design teams to implement best practice standards and regulatory compliance.
* Conduct site visits and produce detailed reports on CDM compliance.
* Develop clear and concise guidance material on regulatory requirements.
* Provide training to internal teams and external consultants.
* Liaise with enforcing authorities where necessary.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Professional qualification in ARB, CIAT, or CIOB (APS membership is an advantage).
* A minimum of three years' experience as a Principal Designer under CDM across various project sectors.
* Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act, secondary legislation, and Building Regulations.
* Experience in risk management and knowledge of the HRB gateway process is beneficial.
* Strong communication, project management, and technical skills (MS Office, BIM).
