Key Responsibilities as a GIS Lead Developer

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to GIS analysts, developers, and other team members. You will also recommend new tools and techniques as appropriate leaning on your knowledge of the latest GIS technologies and trends
  • System Integration: Design and implement integration strategies for GIS with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, and other databases).
  • Architectural Design: you will develop and maintain the overall GIS architecture, including data models, application frameworks, and integration strategies. You will ensure the architecture supports scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Lead GIS projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to gather requirements and define project scope.

Core experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • You will have knowledge of spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
  • You will demonstrate experience in a leadership or architectural role with the proven experience in managing GIS projects and teams.
  • You will demonstrate proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
