ServiceNow Lead Solution Architect - Security Clearance (SC) - Remote Working - Inside IR35

Our client, a global consultancy, are currently looking to hire a ServiceNow Lead Solution Architect to join the team on a contract basis. This role would be largely Remote Working with the possibility of adhoc travel, and would require active Security Clearance.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the design and development of innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business. The primary objective of this role is to deploy, maintain and improve the ServiceNow Service Management platform used by the client to support its external customers and internal staff.

Responsibilities include analysing the impact of new requirements to deliver proactive IT Service Management and Operations through implementation, automation, integration, and management of primarily ITSM and ITOM related toolsets and environments and will require demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge and expertise in processes, tools, and frameworks to improve overall quality, efficiency, and experience of services being delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex IT solutions that meet the business needs of the organisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into solution designs.
  • Develop and maintain solution architecture documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team to ensure the quality and integrity of the final solution.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and frameworks to improve solution design and delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and procedures related to solution design and delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering complex IT solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ensures platform alignment with the business strategy.
  • Provides consultative technical leadership to the platform team.
  • Provides architectural controls to ensure the correct technical solutions are used when delivering business solutions.
  • Resolves technical escalations, including responding to defects.
  • Participates in process workshops.
  • Works closely with enterprise architecture team.

Desired skills/experience:

  • Experience working as a ServiceNow Application Architect, carrying out system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Experience using Business Rules, Client Scripts, Workflows, Form Design and UI Actions.
  • Experience of the CSM module.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, Service Portal, Service Catalogue, CMDB, Performance Analytics and Reporting.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Domain Separation and RBAC controls.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Platform Integrations and data normalisation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of scripting in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Web Services, HTML, Angular etc.
  • Excellent understanding of ServiceNow platform administration.
