Join our team at Reed Professional Services, a leading Management Consultancy and technology services provider. We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to work on a transformative project with a major UK postal service provider. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and experience in delivering technical change within large transformation programmes.
Day-to-day of the role:- Focus on the SAP S/4HANA Basis as the technical foundation, ensuring the smooth operation of the SAP S/4HANA system through system landscape configuration, performance optimization, security, and stability.
- Work closely with the Technology Function to deliver technical solutions that align with the core finance transformation goals.
- Engage in all phases of the development lifecycle, from system upgrades and patching to performance tuning and security enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and are delivered in accordance with agreed timelines.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, including database, application, and presentation layers.
- Expertise in SAP BASIS administration, system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SAP Solution Manager and SAP Access Control.
- Demonstrable experience in systems integration and the design and delivery of large-scale, complex IT solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in complex analysis, consulting, and providing technical recommendations.
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide systems architectures and experience in planning, designing, and implementing complex systems architectures.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
