Solution Architect (BASIS, Networking & Security)

Farringdon, London – 3 days per week on-site
£700-£725 per day via Umbrella

We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to work on a transformative migration project from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA for one of our clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the technical foundation and essential services for the smooth operation and transition of the SAP systems.

Day-to-day of the role:

Lead the technical aspects of the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including system landscape configuration, performance optimization, security, and overall stability.
Collaborate within a large transformation programme, focusing on Core Finance transformation.
Manage stakeholder relationships and work closely with third-party service providers to deliver technical solutions.
Ensure the technical solutions meet business needs and align with the project vision to simplify operations, enhance user experience, and prepare for future changes.
Provide expert guidance on the design and architecture of systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, including database, application, and presentation layers.
Expertise in SAP BASIS administration, system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SAP Solution Manager and SAP Access Control.
Demonstrable experience in technical architecture roles across all phases of the development lifecycle.
Proven track record in the design and delivery of large-scale, complex integrated IT solutions.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in complex analysis, consulting, and providing technical recommendations.
Experience in defining technical architecture design principles and implementing complex systems architectures.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
