ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Alchemy London Market are partnering with a leading provider of pensions and insurance products and services. They are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to drive end-to-end solution design and delivery across a range of business portfolios within the insurance and pensions sector. This is a highly consultative and strategic role, requiring deep domain knowledge and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES:
  • Define and deliver end-to-end solution architectures across multiple business areas.
  • Operate in a consulting-led capacity, advising clients and internal teams on optimal architecture strategies.
  • Align solution designs with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of technology strategy, architecture principles, and governance practices.
  • Lead medium to large-scale initiatives with a focus on quality, compliance, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to architectural best practices within the organisation.
EXPERIENCE & SKILL-SET:
  • Experience in solution architecture, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  • Pensions Risk Transfer - including buy-in, buy-out, scheme administration, bulk annuities, and institutional investments.
  • Working across the Insurance and Pensions sectors with an ability to bring industry insights and best practices.
  • Navigating both business and regulatory landscapes within enterprise environments.
  • Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
  • Data & Analytics
  • Integration / APIs / Microservices
  • Process Automation
  • CRM and Customer Experience Platforms
  • AI / ML and Emerging Tech
  • Enterprise Architecture Tooling (e.g., ArchiMate, Orbus, BiZZdesign)
