83zero is excited to be continuing its relationship with a leading Airport based in central London who are looking for a Technical Solution Architect. You will be responsible for supporting the design, build, and delivery of IT services across the organisation.
As the business undergoes significant transformation, including migrating from existing data centres to Azure, you will play a key role in defining requirements and selecting third-party suppliers to facilitate this migration.
Key Skills (Expanded):
Technical Networking and Infrastructure Experience: A strong background in managing and supporting networking environments and IT infrastructure is essential. You should have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network architecture, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Data Centre Migration Projects: Experience in planning and executing large-scale data center migrations is crucial. You should be familiar with the complexities involved in migrating IT services and infrastructure from physical data centers to cloud environments, particularly Azure. This includes risk management, downtime minimisation, and ensuring a smooth transition for all systems.
Proficiency with CISCO Switches: Hands-on experience with CISCO networking equipment is vital, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimising switches for performance and reliability. You should be comfortable managing both simple and complex network topologies using CISCO technologies.
Azure Cloud Experience: You should have a deep understanding of Azure Cloud services, including deployment, management, and optimisation of cloud-based solutions. Your role will involve migrating systems to Azure, so practical experience in cloud architecture and administration is critical.
Azure Certifications: Certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or other relevant qualifications are highly desirable. They demonstrate your technical expertise and deep understanding of Azure's platform, tools, and best practices.
Knowledge of Networking Concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SDA, VPNs): A solid understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, Software Defined Access (SDA), and VPNs is essential. This knowledge will be key in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient network operations across the organisation.
Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks: Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices is necessary to ensure that IT infrastructure and services are secure and compliant. This includes working knowledge of protocols and tools to safeguard systems against potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
