Lead SAP PI Consultant (Security Clearance Eligiblty Required)

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP PI Consultant to join our team, specializing in SAP PI/PO integration development. This role involves designing and implementing SAP PI solutions, managing development processes, and leading a team to deliver high-quality outcomes. As an SAP PI Consultant, you will work closely with functional and testing teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Development:

    • Develop integration solutions using SAP PI/PO, leveraging ABAP proxies, IDOCs, and RFCs.
    • Design SAP PI solutions based on functional requirements to meet business needs.
    • Configure interfaces using SAP PI with SOAP, REST APIs, and adapters like File, JDBC, and IDOC.
  • Technical Documentation and Testing:

    • Create technical documentation, including unit test plans for SAP PI solutions.
    • Collaborate with functional and test teams to resolve issues during SAP PI development.
    • Ensure all SAP PI developments meet agreed requirements, standards, and timelines.
  • Team Leadership and Project Management:

    • Lead the SAP PI development team, providing guidance and escalating issues as needed.
    • Monitor work progress, ensuring completion of SAP PI tasks within agreed timescales and quality standards.
    • Manage changes within SAP PI projects, coordinating with the Team Manager.
  • Process Improvement and Compliance:

    • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to SAP PI, ensuring compliance with quality processes.
    • Maintain and complete quality records specific to SAP PI development.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in SAP PI/PO 7.3 and SAP ABAP R/3 with strong SAP PI integration development skills.
  • Proficiency in developing interfaces using SOAP, REST APIs, and OAS within SAP PI, and knowledge of adapters like File, JDBC, and IDOC.
  • Experience in SAP PI interface design and configuration.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ABAP Proxy Development and creating user-defined Java functions for SAP PI.
  • Skills in SAP PI interface development for APIs.
  • Familiarity with SAP TRM, PSCD, CRM, FI, and HR modules.
  • Knowledge of UNIX, WebMethods, Microsoft Office, and SAP CTS+.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills relevant to an SAP PI environment.
