Systems Specialist (Windows/Virtualization Expertise)

They are hiring for a Systems Specialist with strong expertise in Windows/Virtualization, particularly in Active Directory (AD), Azure, and PowerShell. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on critical systems in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will contribute to one of the following focus areas, with opportunities to specialise and rotate across teams:

  1. Enterprise Team (Active Directory and DNS)
    • Manage and optimise Active Directory environments.
    • Handle DNS operations and related infrastructure tasks.
    • Leverage identity management expertise to enhance system performance.
  2. Core Services Team (Windows Server and VMware)
    • Administer and support Windows Server environments.
    • Work extensively with VMware for virtualisation and system optimisation.
    • Assist in building and maintaining scalable VMware stacks.
  3. Workspace Team (VDI, Azure, O365)
    • Focus on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with an emphasis on VMware Horizon View.
    • Manage and optimise Azure and Office 365 environments.
    • Support "Desktop as a Service" initiatives to enhance user experience.
  4. Service Team (Developer-Focused Support)
    • Collaborate closely with developers to create internal tools and front-end solutions.
    • Support platforms like Jira, Confluence, and bespoke internal tools (e.g., BlueSquare).
    • Contribute to application development and automation efforts.
