Windows Automation ConsultantLocation: Remote/ Very occasional travel to LondonSalary: £75,000 - £90,000OverviewOur client is seeking a Windows Automation DevOps Consultant to assist with the design, development, and support of infrastructure automation solutions.Responsibilities* Design, develop, and support infrastructure automation solutions.* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and methodologies.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation tools.* Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Hashicorp Packer, Ansible Tower, and other relevant technologies.* Manage and optimize Windows Server environments (2019, 2022).* Utilize GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation.* Administer and optimize SQL Server databases.* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation issues.* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and automation.Qualifications: * Several years of experience in Infrastructure DevOps and automation within the financial services industry.* Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and methodologies.* Proficiency in Hashicorp Packer, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Ansible Tower, SQL Server, and GitHub Actions.* Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management.* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:* Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or related technologies.* Experience with other automation tools and technologies.* Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
