Design Technology Technician Role Overview:
- Set up and manage materials, resources, and equipment to support teaching and enhance student learning in Design Technology.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is ready for teacher demonstrations and student projects.
- Maintain classroom displays with current students' project work and artefacts.
- Offer technical advice and assistance to staff and students during lessons and projects.
- Oversee storage of tools, equipment, and student project files.
- Copy and distribute worksheets and materials as required for lessons.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Design Technology Technician Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar technician role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Proficient in handling and maintaining Design Technology tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations concerning workshop tools and materials.
