Design Technology (DT) Technician - February Start in North London

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact, starting in February 2025 and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Preparation: Set up tools, equipment, and materials for practical lessons.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Keep machinery and tools safe, organised, and fully operational.
  • Student Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance during creative projects.
  • Stock Management: Maintain an organised inventory and manage supply orders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to foster engaging, practical learning experiences.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a related field, such as engineering, design, or art.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing systems, and working with materials like wood, metal, and polymers.
  • Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of maintaining and using DT tools and machinery safely.
  • Organisational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
  • Creative Mindset: A desire to inspire innovation and creative thinking in students.

  • A degree in a design-related field or relevant professional experience
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and professional references
