IT Support Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading real estate organisation based in central London to recruit a IT Support Engineer on a contract to perm basis

Role:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• The IT Support Engineer will provide technical assistance for software, hardware, and computer systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using diagnostic tools and remote access.
• Respond promptly to IT queries to minimise business disruption.

Network and Infrastructure Management

• Investigate and resolve network/Wi-Fi issues for clients.
• Set up, configure, and maintain wired/wireless networks across sites.
• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure.

System Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems, including workstations and software applications.
• Monitor system performance for availability, reliability, and security. Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and backups.

Software Management

• Install, upgrade, and support business software and applications.
• Configure and customize software to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with vendors for software licensing, updates, and support.

Data Management

• Manage data backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality by applying security best practices.

Project Involvement

• Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions aligned with business goals.

Compliance and Security

• Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to protect the organisation from emerging threats.

Profile:

• The IT Support Engineer will have proven experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security, and systems management.
• Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 Suite and Administrator
• Strong experience with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches and APs
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent.
