Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support to clients in the private health and dental care sectors, helping them to manage and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, networks, and software. Your ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently will play a key part in keeping healthcare services operational and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and on-site IT support to private health clinics, dental practices, and medical centres.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and cloud systems.
  • Configure and manage Windows, Mac OS, and other operating systems clients use.
  • Support medical software applications (e.g., Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, practice management tools) used within healthcare settings.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and business continuity systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor and maintain client networks, ensuring security and compliance with healthcare data protection standards (GDPR, NHS regulations, etc.).
  • Set up and manage new IT infrastructure projects, including server installations, network configurations, and security updates.
  • Provide clients with regular reports on system performance, updates, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative teams to optimise their technology experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends, security threats, and technologies within the healthcare sector.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an IT support or MSP environment, preferably within healthcare, dental, or a regulated industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure.
    • Familiarity with healthcare-related software and data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR, NHS standards).
    • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security measures.
    • Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments.
  • Problem-Solving: A proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills, focusing on providing high-quality service and building strong client relationships.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: Full UK driving license (for on-site visits), ability to work in London.
