IT Support Engineer - Leading IT Services Provider (Central London)

The Role:We're seeking an experienced and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising clients' IT infrastructure, providing end-user support, and driving key projects across network management, cloud solutions, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Management: Monitor network performance, enforce security standards, and manage services like file sharing and Active Directory.
  • IT Support: Provide 1st and 2nd line support, including VIP support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT systems.
  • Cloud & Vitalisation: Manage and maintain cloud platforms (Azure AD, Office 365) and virtual environments (Hyper-V).
  • IT Health & Safety: Ensure safe installation and maintenance of IT equipment and compliance with government guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment, processes, and incidents while updating the IT knowledge base.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to apprentices when required.

What We're Looking For:To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience: 3+ years in IT support roles, managing desktop, server, and cloud environments in Windows-based infrastructure.
  • Education: A 2.1 BSc in a relevant STEM field.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT vendor qualifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Office 365, Hyper-V, Powershell scripting, VoIP systems, and ITIL processes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to handle IT equipment up to 20kg.
