Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading asset manager organisation to recruit a Junior IT Support Engineer on a 12 month contract basis - London based
Role
- The Junior IT Support Engineer will provide white-glove IT support to internal users, ensuring a high-quality and professional experience.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues primarily in a Windows-based environment.
- Support desktop and laptop configurations, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Assist with IT on boarding and off boarding, including setting up new user devices and accounts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot conferencing and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and VPN solutions.
- Work closely with senior IT staff and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Document IT issues and resolutions in the ticketing system to improve troubleshooting processes.
- Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades, software deployments, and security improvements.
Profile
- The Junior IT Support Engineer will ideally have c1-3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional end-user support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
