Job Role

To be responsible for the identification of appropriate and suitable temporary accommodation for homeless applicants.

To liaising with the letting agents and private sector landlords to secure temporary accommodation (TA) for statutory homeless applicants who meet the threshold for the provision of TA.

To ensure all interactions with applicants are trauma informed and couched in empathy and sensitivity.

Responsibility for communication with the applicant about the sourced TA including the provision of details about access and details of the landlord.

To ensure a clear audit trail related to record keeping of all TA placements and lettings including costs related to the property.

To ensure all properties secured are listed on the relevant council applications ensuring a digital audit trail.

To utilise information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.

At all times to carry out responsibilities/duties within the framework of the Council's CARE values and Dignity for All policy.

To ensure that duties are undertaken with due regard and compliance with the Data Protection Act and other legislation.

To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Council's Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
