The Role
As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing IT systems, providing expert support, and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and security. You will be a key point of contact for technical issues, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless IT services. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring swift resolution.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, managing system upgrades, maintenance, and security enhancements.
- Implement and support cloud-based technologies, particularly Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
- Lead automation initiatives, including scripting and streamlining IT processes.
- Manage software deployment strategies and maintain key business applications.
- Support and develop cyber security measures, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Assist with IT requirements for office relocations, events, and key business projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to identify and implement IT improvements.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Certifications
Essential:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4).
Desirable:
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or cyber security.
- Additional Microsoft certifications relevant to cloud and security technologies.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential:
- Minimum three years' experience in a senior IT support or infrastructure role.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and cloud security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and administration.
- Experience managing Microsoft Intune and overseeing system deployments.
- Proficiency in Windows 11 and Windows Server administration.
- Understanding of IT service management principles and best practices.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Linux, and enterprise security tools.
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Networking knowledge, including DNS, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Experience in DevOps or cloud automation.
