Senior IT Support Engineer - £55,000 - London - Hybrid - Azure - Defender - Sentinel

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to lead various expansion and integration projects while providing exceptional IT support across multiple sites. The role is based in London, with responsibilities spanning three global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-tier IT support to end users, resolving incidents and queries within defined SLA's while maintaining adherence to company policies.

  • Own requests from start to resolution, ensuring consistent communication and progress updates.

  • Monitor critical systems and platforms, performing regular maintenance, upgrades, and administrative tasks.

  • Manage hardware and software assets, including procurement and licensing.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and resolutions, tracking actions and decisions throughout the process.

  • Offer support for business needs like office moves, events, and media launches.

  • Train and guide staff on using applications, systems, and equipment effectively.

  • Create and implement PowerShell scripts for automating repeatable tasks.

  • Assist with SSO and federated login implementation across software systems.

  • Automate and maintain the starters and leavers process.

  • Develop application and policy deployment strategies using Intune.

  • Support SharePoint administration and provide technical troubleshooting.

  • Promote continuous improvement within the IT team and business processes.

  • Collaborate on the selection, planning, and implementation of new systems.

  • Ensure data privacy and security compliance in all applications and processes.

  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support, escalating issues where necessary.

  • Stay informed about software and technology trends to recommend beneficial upgrades or systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Essential:

    • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.

    • ITIL Foundation v3/v4.

    • 3+ years in a senior IT operations role.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint, and Windows Server.

    • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across all levels of IT support.

    • Knowledge of ITIL concepts and operational security.

  • Desirable:

    • Certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Cyber Security.

    • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Salesforce, Tableau, and advanced PowerShell scripting.

    • Understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs and routing.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to build rapport with end-users and foster professional relationships.

  • Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience in a security-compliant environment with a focus on data privacy.
