Test Analyst - Remote / Adhoc travel - Inside IR35

Our client, a leading global consultancy, are currently looking to hire a Test Analyst to join the team on a hybrid working contract basis. This role would be largely remote working, with adhoc travel to Belfast which would be expensed.

In this role you will:

  • Support the delivery of testing activity in various teams
  • Define test strategies
  • Work with project managers to plan and prioritise test activities
  • Develop test plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and driving testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service development
  • Providing authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test estimation, planning and execution
  • Adopting and adapting appropriate testing methods, automated tools and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approaches
  • Measuring and monitoring the application of testing standards
  • Assessing risks and taking mitigating actions
  • Identifying improvements and contributing to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testing
  • Resource forecasting and controlling attrition
  • Managing the expectations of project stakeholders
  • Striving for Continuous Improvement on testing processes

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation as well as externally
  • Business awareness, specific knowledge of the organisations business area, drivers, structures and priorities
  • Assessing the performance of the teams, providing the necessary support and conducting appraisals. Assessing the needs of the team and enabling relevant professional development opportunities
  • In depth knowledge of management principles and processes. Identifying and exploring opportunities for continuous process improvement
  • Builds own training plan, agrees with Line Manager and ensures that it is completed
  • Maintains a deep awareness of technology, product, industry developments and is expert in multiple areas
  • Continuous learning by keeping up-to-date and acquiring relevant skills and certifications
