My client is looking for a Test Lead to provide testing expertise on a project to introduce Voice AI and related automation to improve customer services ("Voice AI") and deliver a challenging and ambitious range of efficiencies and savings over the next two years.

The role will include the following:

  • Test strategy and approach - to be drafted, reviewed internally, updated following feedback, and ready for sign off.
  • Test cases and/or scripts for each user story in a sprint.
  • Text execution with pass/fail metrics to include the following:
    • Integration and system testing
    • End-to-end testing
    • Regression testing
    • Performance testing and ideally load testing, to highlight any long delays.
  • Participation in key Agile ceremonies as well as triage meetings during hyper-support after each go-live
  • Bug reporting and tracking, including steps to reproduce, severity, screenshots, and resolution status.
  • Advise on (but not undertake) User Acceptance Testing, as required.

The testing should cover a range of devices (e.g. smartphones, smart speakers, web chats, emails, SMS and potentially WhatsApp messages) ideally in a range of simulated or real settings (e.g. noise backgrounds) and should include:

  • Voice services:
    • Speech/voice recognition including validating command recognition and intent mapping.
    • Natural language understanding (NLU)
    • Ensuring all voice outputs are clear and easily intelligible.
    • That a wide range of users are understood by the voice service
    • Outputs are friendly, easily understood accurate and correct, conform with all training materials and configuration work, and work as intended, e.g. sending the correct link by text when asked to
    • User experience (UX) including error handling and recovery pathways.
  • Functional behaviours such as updating LOB applications, sending text messages, reverting to previous menus, ending calls appropriately, escalating calls, etc.
