IT Operations & Service Lead - Insurance
We are recruiting for a hands-on IT Operations & Service Lead with strong experience of Cloud, Azure (M365, Entra ID) and Infrastructure to join one of our Insurance Clients on a 6 month contract to start in January 2025.
Please note this role is Inside IR35 with travel to London 2 days a week.
You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing IT operations, service delivery, and security management in a cloud-first environment through a third-party MSP. With a primary emphasis on optimising cloud infrastructure, this role will ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all cloud platforms and services, with limited dependency on on-premises infrastructure.
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable lead with extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure, vendor management, and cloud security practices.
Experience Required:
- Experience as a lead, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Regulated Environments: Strong experience working in highly regulated environments within the financial services sector preferably insurance.
- Vendor Management and Azure Expertise: Extensive experience managing third-party providers in a cloud-centric environment, with strong technical knowledge of Azure infrastructure and cost management.
- Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Advanced understanding of cloud-first principles and experience with Azure networking, storage solutions, and identity management, with limited reliance on on-premises systems.
- Service Management and ITIL Knowledge: Proficiency in ITIL and ITSM frameworks within cloud operations, with hands-on experience in managing Configuration Management (CMDB), Change Management, and Incident Management.
- Security and Compliance Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST) with experience in zero-trust security frameworks and Azure security tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Azure monitoring, automation tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Terraform), and experience implementing security frameworks (e.g., MFA, zero-trust architecture).
