Vendor Management Supervisor

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: You can be based in either London or Sheffield, UK

Are you an experienced Vendor Management Supervisor seeking an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced, international environment? Our client, a leading provider of legal services, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor and third-party compliance. You will be looking after legal due diligence, working closely with stakeholders and team members across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the a team of 2, providing guidance and making final decisions on projects and day-to-day/vendor due diligence questions.
  • Oversee legal and compliance projects, both internal and for the wider firm, ensuring successful project management.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of legal due diligence for third party suppliers for a global firm.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity and data privacy due diligence, ensuring compliance.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all vendor-related matters, collaborating with stakeholders and team leads on various projects.
  • Continuously improve and adapt the vendor management process, considering legal requirements and client obligations.
  • Monitor and manage team workload, ensuring progress and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide metrics, updates, and presentations when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other teams such as Data Privacy Office, Finance, and Cybersecurity Due Diligence.
  • Manage third-party vendors, responding to inquiries and addressing any issues.
  • Conduct necessary background checks to mitigate risks, such as sanctions-related concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment, preferably within a law firm.
  • LLB qualification or similar strong academics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid knowledge of legal and commercial risks.
  • Ability to make confident decisions based on legal knowledge, consulting attorneys when necessary.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using vendor management tools and SharePoint (or a quick learner).
  • Experience supervising people and managing projects.
