Senior Sustainability Consultant - Consultant

This role is within the Real Estate sector, working with market leaders to develop global zero-carbon strategies for building owners, investors, and developers. The focus is on helping clients transition to a net-zero economy.

As a Senior Consultant, you will contribute to energy management and building optimization projects, working with key stakeholders to manage sustainability risks and opportunities.

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will:

  • Manage energy reduction projects at real estate sites, ensuring timely, quality delivery within budget.
  • Provide technical input, including data analysis, modelling, and strategic insights.
  • Support business development by writing proposals and delivering technical webinars.
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients, focusing on continuing or increasing revenue from key accounts.
  • Provide timely responses to operational needs (invoicing, project updates, timesheets, etc.).
  • Contribute to internal sustainability and CSR objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Essential: Degree in engineering; experience in managing complex projects, energy audits, and net-zero pathways.
  • Desirable: Masters or postgraduate qualification, Chartered Engineer status, contributing to new business development.
  • Knowledge of energy use in buildings and systems: HVAC, lighting, energy management systems (ISO50001), renewable energy, and relevant policy frameworks (e.g., CCA, ESOS, EUETS).
  • Desirable: Energy use in industrial systems, renewable energy design, and CHP feasibility.
  • Proactive, strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and IES modelling
