Primary Structure Integration Lead required for a major offshore wind developer based in England

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, steer and verify the design works of primary structures
  • Ensure and verify correct integration of site-specific soil data into foundation design and provide relevant soil information to T&I work package
  • Coordinate and oversee the load iteration process to obtain overall cost-effective foundation and turbine design of primary structure in alignment with the overall project time schedule
  • Ensure coherent input is provided to all relevant parties involved in the design and certification process of the primary structures in alignment with the work packages
  • Interact with work package engineering disciplines to holistically drive transversal engineering decisions and coordinate efficiently inputs from / outputs for the work packages
  • Assist and support the work packages during relevant document reviews to assess overall project impact
  • Verification that regulations, codes and standards for primary steel design are properly identified, followed and complied to
  • Asses work package specific interface requirements under the aspect of overall project impact on safety, manufacturability, constructability, cost impact and operational aspects
  • Ensure consideration of secondary steel design impacts and resulting requirements towards primary structures
  • Supporting integration and adherence of project CDM regulations and project health and safety and environmental requirements

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong focus on offshore steel structures i.e. foundation and tower design
  • Extensive experience as a design or engineering manager/lead engineer within offshore wind projects
  • ability to apply structural engineering principles, design standards, and knowledge of the fabrication/construction process to create efficient and cost-effective designs.
  • Good presentation skills, with the confidence and ability to deliver presentations to senior management both internally and externally
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • 3 days per week in the London office
