Job Description:
We are urgently recruiting a Design Technology (DT) Technician for a large secondary school. This temporary, full-time position is available immediately and will run until the October half term, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a school setting, particularly within 3D Product Design, Graphic Design, Fashion, and Textiles at GCSE and A Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide expert support for laser cutting equipment using Techsoft Design V3.
- Lesson Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organisation of materials for KS3, KS4, and KS5 DT lessons, including Food Technology.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of DT equipment and machinery.
- Adobe Software: Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable.
Key Requirements:
- Essential: Proficiency in Techsoft Design V3 and recent Health & Safety certification (within the last 5 years).
- Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
