Design Technology (DT) Technician

Location: Wandsworth
Hours: Full Time, 8:30 - 3:30
Salary: 14- 16ph

Remedy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Design Technology (DT) Technician to join a team in a vibrant and progressive school environment. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting the delivery of high-quality design and technology education.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and manage DT equipment, tools, and materials for lessons and projects.
- Assist teaching staff with practical classroom activities, demonstrations, and student projects.
- Ensure the safe use of machinery, tools, and materials, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring all tools and machines are in good working order.
- Support pupils with the safe and effective use of equipment during practical sessions.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar DT technician role or within a workshop environment is desirable.
- A solid understanding of DT machinery, tools, and safety procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support both teachers and students.
- A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and ensuring high safety standards.
