Job Title: Garment TechnologistLocation: LondonDepartment: Product DevelopmentJob Summary: Seeking a skilled and experienced Garment Technologist to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment technology, specifically in lingerie, swimwear, or nightwear, with a preference for lingerie. This role involves ensuring the highest quality standards, fit, and functionality of our products from initial design through to final production.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with designers and product developers to create technical specifications for new products.Conduct fitting sessions and provide detailed feedback to ensure garments meet design and quality standards.Develop and maintain size specifications and grading rules.Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and ensure production quality.Conduct fabric and garment testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.Monitor and evaluate production samples, providing clear and actionable feedback.Ensure all products meet regulatory and safety standards.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in garment production.Qualifications:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in garment technology, with a focus on lingerie, swimwear, or nightwear.Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.Excellent knowledge of fabric properties and performance.Proficient in using garment technology software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra).Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred Experience:Specific experience in lingerie is highly desirable.Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A collaborative and innovative work environment.
