**Interaction Designer** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day rate or Salary is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to lead a design team and support a core product area within Experience Design. This role involves providing guidance to stakeholders, development teams, and other Interaction Designers. The successful candidate will take ownership of their output, justify design decisions, and confidently present their work to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and implement the experience strategy for the product area.
  • Understand customer needs, pain points, and expectations.
  • Align goals and challenges with business and engineering priorities.
  • Collaborate with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy.
  • Engage with leadership to understand objectives and identify opportunities for good customer outcomes.
  • Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery, and team culture.
  • Foster a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in User Experience design/Interaction Design.
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Strong stakeholder negotiation skills.
  • A strong strategic vision that aligns well with the overall business strategy.
