We are collaborating with a leading retail supplier on their search for a talented Packaging Artworker / Designer! The team works diligently out of a shared passion for delivering an exceptional service.Working in a fast paced and exiting business, you will create visually appealing, commercial packaging for leading retailers globally. You will have a strong background in graphic design, and experience focussed on packaging artwork, preferably within the retail / consumer products sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create commercial and visually compelling packaging concepts for consumer products and leading global retailers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product specifications and marketing objectives.
- Develop prototypes and mock-ups for presentation and testing.
- Prepare final artwork and production files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to innovate and improve packaging designs, inform design decisions, and maintain relevance in the market.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions to ensure designs meet objectives and resonate with the target audience.
- Provide support in coordinating with external vendors and manufacturers for packaging production.
Requirements:
- A graphic or packing design qualification or degree preferable, but not essential.
- Experience in packaging design, preferably in the retail / consumer products industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of packaging materials and print production processes is a must.
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
