Senior Menswear Designer | London | Multi-product | Menswear | circa £45,000 + Benefits

We're looking for a visionary and passionate Senior Menswear Designer to join a renowned brand with a deep-rooted presence in fashion and retail. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple brands and product categories within an established, stable, and forward-thinking business.

As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you'll have the chance to shape exciting, trend-driven menswear collections while working across a range of diverse products and global markets.

As the Senior Designer:

  • Lead the design process across multiple menswear product categories, ensuring each collection aligns with both brand vision and consumer demand.
  • Manage the design direction, from concept to final product, with a keen understanding of how each range fits within the broader brand portfolio.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging trends, consumer insights, and market developments. Identify fresh opportunities to inject innovation and originality into your collections, always anticipating the future of menswear.
  • Work closely with Buyers, Merchandisers, and other internal teams to ensure your designs are commercially viable and aligned with stock turnover and sales growth goals. Foster strong cross-department relationships to ensure the design process is smooth, impactful, and aligned with the wider business strategy.
  • Analyse trading data (e.g., Monday trade reports) and market feedback to inform design decisions. Use these insights to drive design choices that meet consumer needs and contribute to the commercial success of your collections.
  • Actively participate in fit sessions and provide valuable input on design, fit, and product development to ensure your designs meet the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and wearability.
  • Lead and inspire a team of designers and collaborate with technical experts, garment technologists, and suppliers to ensure designs are executed to perfection. Provide direction, mentorship, and feedback to foster a creative and productive team environment.
  • Maintain and elevate the brand's reputation by safeguarding high standards in construction, fabric quality, and overall design. Ensure your work is always reflective of the brand ethos, while continually pushing for new creative boundaries.
  • Effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and technical requirements to suppliers and manufacturers. Manage the product development process from inception to production, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
  • Lead fabric and trim sourcing initiatives, ensuring innovation, quality, and alignment with the vision for each collection. Experience with knitwear is a plus, but not essential.
