Salt are recruiting for an immediate requirement with a local government client of ours who is looking for a Service Designer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to create user-centered public services with real impact. As a Service Designer, you'll collaborate in a multidisciplinary team alongside researchers and developers, focused on designing services that truly meet user needs and simplify government interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Service Failures: Investigate service issues and determine root causes.
  • Cost & Efficiency Improvements: Identify areas for cost reduction and streamline service functionality.
  • Design User Journeys: Map and create cohesive user journeys that connect separate government interactions into seamless experiences.
  • Service and System Improvements: Develop targeted improvements for both digital and process-based support systems.
  • Prototyping & Standards: Rapidly iterate service prototypes and contribute to new cross-government service patterns and standards.
