Salt are recruiting for an immediate requirement with a local government client of ours who is looking for a Service Designer.
This will be an Inside IR35 contract for 4 months initially with a daily rate of £650. It would be a mainly remote role with 1 day a weekexpected in office, based in Southwark.

This is an exciting opportunity to create user-centered public services with real impact. As a Service Designer, you'll collaborate in a multidisciplinary team alongside researchers and developers, focused on designing services that truly meet user needs and simplify government interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Service Failures: Investigate service issues and determine root causes.
- Cost & Efficiency Improvements: Identify areas for cost reduction and streamline service functionality.
- Design User Journeys: Map and create cohesive user journeys that connect separate government interactions into seamless experiences.
- Service and System Improvements: Develop targeted improvements for both digital and process-based support systems.
- Prototyping & Standards: Rapidly iterate service prototypes and contribute to new cross-government service patterns and standards.
