Contract Role- 6 months rolling

Location: Acton, West London

Rate: £27.68 paye (+ 16.59% holiday) or £36.91 umbrella

Day shift- 7.15am to 3.15pm mon-thurs and 7.15 to 12.15 on fridays

We are currently recruiting Electrical Mechanical fitters to work on the Central Line Improvement Programme (CLIP) at Acton Railway Engineering works. These roles will predominantly focus and strip and rebuild of Central Line Trains. Flooring, grab poles, coachworks etc.

You should be able to demonstrate a level 3 Electrical or mechanical qualification or equivalent.

Must be able to read and follow detailed work instructions and component assembly drawings, be familiar with general hand tools, bearing press and power tools.

Must understand how to set and use a Torque Wrench and understand the principles of their use including witness marking.

There will be a requirement for the use of overhead cranes and other workshop equipment for which training will be provided.

Understand and be able to use basic measuring tools, Vernier, Micrometer and ruler.
