An established construction company have an opening for a Document Controller to join their friendly team. The Document Controller role involves administrating and managing the document and information control systems for a site based in the London E3 area. The ideal candidate will be managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Project Office and providing full administrative support to the Project Team.

  • Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
  • Hours: 7.30 - 4pm
  • 1 day hybrid

Document Controller responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all technical project drawings and documentation notifications from the client Electronic Document Management System are checked, accurately recorded, and distributed to the Project Team
  • Tracking, QA checking and uploading project drawings, technical submittals, and relevant information to the in-house system
  • Managing and maintaining the project filing system, ensuring the company file structure is strictly adhered to, and that all information is accurate and up to date
  • Continuously prioritising documents by always maintaining an awareness of project progress
  • Establishing and maintaining trackers to deliver accurate and timely reports related to document control e.g. outstanding approvals, unanswered RFIs, QA Rejected, Status C documents, RAMS, plant & equipment, holidays, installation progress, commissioning, and snags
  • Ensuring the procedures and standards defined in the project's protocols are followed
  • Maintaining the Project Team competency/training matrix and arranging training as required
  • Assisting the Project Team with the compilation of the client monthly project reports and H&S documentation
  • Booking in deliveries and inductions via Datascope
  • Carrying out general administration including typing, copying, and filing general correspondence, arranging couriers alongside ordering stationery, consumable,s and PPE Equipment

Document Controller required skills/competencies:

  • Proven experience working within a similar role desirable
  • Experience using an electronic document control system (SharePoint, Asite etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook
