Secondary Student Manager - Pastoral - March 2025 | Waltham Forest

Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor or Cover Supervisor with a passion for supporting students facing complex and challenging behaviour

The school is student-focused and forward-thinking, and they’ve created this role to ensure that every student receives the highest level of support. As a Behaviour Mentor, you willsupport students with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them manage their behaviour and stay engaged in learning. The role involves providing one-on-one support, promoting positive behaviour, and working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students’ well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance across all year groups.
  • Create and maintain a purposeful and positive environment within Year Group areas.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Deliver exceptional pastoral support to students, ensuring a high-quality learning experience across KS3 and KS4.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, with a strong understanding of educational processes at Key Stage 3, 4, or 5.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • High standards of professionalism, creativity, and problem-solving.
  • Educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Willing to apply for an enhanced DBS.

Job details:

  • Salary: £23.400 to £24.000
  • Reports to Assistant Principal
