About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to oversee the provision of council-wide insurance arrangements, services, and processes. This role will involve managing an internal claims handling service for council departments and schools, providing expert advice on insurance matters, and analysing claim trends to mitigate future losses.

Key Responsibilities:-Manage the council's insurance arrangements and internal claims handling service-Provide expert advice on insurance-related matters, including compensation claims-Support council departments and schools with insurance claims and risk management- Analyse claim trends and implement measures to reduce future losses- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices

Requirements:- Proven experience in insurance management, ideally within a public sector setting- Strong understanding of claims handling, risk management, and insurance policies- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to provide clear and professional advice to stakeholders- Strong communication and organisational skills
