Our client is a UK insurer with a strong footprint in the wholesale and retail insurance markets.
As a key aspect of a strategic development plan, they are seeking to hire an experienced Motor Underwriter to spearhead the evolution of the private motor product line and underwriting proposition.
In addition to underwriting risks, the Motor Insurance Manager will work closely with the C.E.O. to develop product offerings, establish appetite, review pricing and develop distribution pipelines.
You will be become Product Lead and be at the forefront of developing and managing the growth of the book and team.
In addition to strong motor underwriting expertise this role will suit someone who is ambitious, innovative, driven and looking for an opportunity to take ownership and make a real impact.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in setting up motor business operation and UW team
- Strong business development experience with broking or dealership network in private motor
- Experience in motor underwriting and management
- Good knowledge on regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Able to work collaboratively but also independently
- Able to complete works or projects within defined timeline
