An opportunity to join a global leader in the Energy broking arena.
The Upstream Energy Broker will be joining a specialist upstream insurance team that offers a comprehensive range of coverages including physical loss or damage, business interruption, control of well, machinery breakdown, and decommissioning risks.
This role will incorporate market negotiations and client relationship management.
Overview
- Work closely with clients to understand needs and review risk information.
- Create bespoke risk solutions that meet client requirements
- Identify appropriate markets and devise a placement strategy
- Prepare slips and underwriter presentations
- Lead market negotiations and resolve any subjectivities
- Ensure that clients are kept updated throughout the placement process
What is required
- Experience and understanding of international upstream energy risks
- Familiarity with placing risks into the Lloyds / London market
- Ability to devise complex risk programmes
- Ability to create market broking documentation
- Strong client relationship skills
