We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very well-established and highly regarded Lloyd's Syndicate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Direct and Facultative Reinsurance Claims across a range of classes, including Downstream Energy & Power, Property including Binders / Lineslips, Construction (RO), and Political Violence & Terror.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting within an agreed claims handling authority and upholding the departmental objectives.
- Receiving and acting upon first notifications and updates, determining coverage.
- Agreeing valid claims.
- Carrying out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required.
- Representing the Syndicate at market meetings, leading meetings where appropriate.
- Handling major claims through the discovery process to dispute resolution.
- Managing multiple claims within multiple jurisdictions simultaneously.
Key Requirements
- Candidates will ideally have experience of handling claims in one or more of the following classes of business - US Property, Energy, Construction and Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Full working knowledge of market systems and DocoSoft.
