  • WTW is seeking an analyst with experience in the UK general insurance market to join their Claims Consulting Practice.
  • The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and offers a salary in the range of ÂŁ40,000 to ÂŁ60,000, depending on experience.
  • Candidates will be expected to apply analytical techniques to support claims advisory and technology services, including data analysis and dashboard creation.
  • Flexibility to travel between Reigate and London, as well as to client offices, is necessary for this position.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for client relationship management and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality insights.
Please note this role can be based in either Reigate or London, and will require flexibility from the successful candidate to travel between these locations as well as travelling to clients offices if necessary.We are looking for an analyst, with experience in the UK general insurance market, to join WTW in our Claims Consulting Practice which is part of our Insurance Consulting and Technology business to help us develop and deliver our Claims advisory and technology services. You will work beside some of the market’s top thought people designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions to challenges faced by the world’s top general insurers and intermediaries.In your role, you will be helping our broad set of claims clients by:
  • Supporting the delivery of our dynamic claims benchmarking service, our operational and technical claims capability reviews and our claims analytics projects.  
  • Applying analytical and statistical techniques and supporting the data transformation, modelling and alignment work, you will analyse the data to produce insights including highlighting the drivers of change, identifying new and emerging trends, benchmarking performance and storyboarding the findings.
  • Designing and building innovative and compelling ways to analyse the data and visualise the outputs.
  • Applying analytical skills to support the development and delivery of our Claims proposition which includes our market benchmarking service, delivering strategic and tactical advisory projects, the deployment of analytics to help transform our client’s claims processing and generate new insights for claims leaders and their pricing, underwriting and reserving stakeholders. 
  • Statistical analysis, dashboarding and visualisation – support development, creation and delivery of sophisticated descriptive analytics and dashboards. Producing charts, KPIs and variables either to specified requirements or through your innovation, ensuring the most appropriate visualisations are used to provide insight.
  • Proactively conducting exploratory analysis to identify the underlying causes of changes in patterns in client data or through the identification and correlation of relevant external data (e.g. weather or transport data) and reporting on the results.  
  • Client data management by working alongside internal data engineering resources and interacting with clients to collect, cleanse, map, process, enhance and unify data sets. 
  • Analytical presentation pack production by producing analysis packs for client’s senior management teams to present results, assess performance, provide insights and highlight improvement opportunities or suggested actions. Participating in client presentations and feedback sessions. 
  • Providing client relationship management including providing client support and excellent client service, building relationships and developing an understanding of their specific data and business factors. 
  • Testing and validating analysis/dashboarding outputs by developing and working to specified test scripts, identifying and helping to prioritise and resolve bugs and data issues.
  • Build a market profile as a representative and advocate of WTW’s Claims consulting services and technology solutions, helping to support business development opportunities.
  • Participate or lead on a range of projects with responsibility for communication with clients and the day-to-day running of projects and manage priorities appropriately.
  • Build relationships internally and work collaboratively with colleagues including pricing, claims, underwriting, reserving,  data science, and technology colleagues to deliver projects and support the innovation, development and delivery of our propositions. 
  • Demonstrate commitment to WTW’s professional standards in managing analyses and in communications with clients.
The Requirements
  • Proven track record of success operating as an analyst within the insurance industry or with a large consultancy. 
  • UK General Insurance knowledge required with claims knowledge and experience across multiple products/classes being an advantage. 
  • Experience experience with data manipulation packages (SAS, SQL, WPS, etc.) 
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality visualisations and presentation material using PowerPoint, Power BI and/or other business intelligence tools e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Salesforce etc
  • Highly numerate, strong maths, statistical and analysis skills. 
  • A keen interest and aptitude for developing new ideas and techniques in process design and data analysis 
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and present results.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, delivering targeted outcomes, and communicating with and managing senior stakeholders is an advantage. 
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset and a solution-oriented approach, eager to tackle challenges with enthusiasm and determination
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • The ability to see the "big picture”, leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients’ business challenges
  • Availability to travel on an as-needed basis, domestically and internationally
