The RoleWe are looking for a Claims Assistant to join our dynamic Operations team in London. Reporting to the Claims Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the claims process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to internal and external requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to build a career in the (re)insurance industry while contributing to the smooth operation of our global claims function.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Claims Director and Claims Associate in managing claims across multiple insurance and reinsurance classes.
- Monitor claims processes to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Update claims data in real-time and maintain comprehensive records.
- Coordinate payment processes for claims settlements, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Communicate with reinsurers, brokers, and loss adjusters regarding claims submissions.
- Prepare and maintain claims status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in audits and reinsurer reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth claims processing.
- Provide administrative support and manage claims-related calendars and schedules.

Essential:
- Knowledge of the insurance and (re)insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to work.

Desirable:
- Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics.
- Professional certifications such as ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention or CAMS.
