Claims Technician

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Investigate, negotiate, and agree on the settlement of claims in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with insured parties, insurers, and brokers to ensure a professional and timely conclusion of claims.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the UK and Europe.
  • Produce reports that comply with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure time reporting and billing are compliant with internal standards, processing, and systems.
  • Guarantee that invoices raised are accurate and issued promptly.
  • Work closely with adjusters where appropriate to manage claims effectively.
  • Attend client review meetings to discuss and assess ongoing claims processes and provide expert advice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Claims Handler, particularly within property and liability claims.
  • Strong understanding of technical, operational, and regulatory policies within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in coordinating with international stakeholders is highly advantageous.
