About the Role

As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing and resolving claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal obligations while maintaining a high standard of service for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys investigating and resolving complex claims while keeping policyholders informed throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full caseload of claims, working within delegated authority principles and escalating where necessary.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, policyholders, and third-party contractors.

  • Negotiate claim settlements within delegated authority limits.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the electronic case management system.

  • Act as the in-house expert for claims-related queries and provide guidance to the team.

  • Process claims in line with agreed timescales and provide regular updates to claimants.

  • Identify and escalate potential compliance or reputational issues.

  • Generate reports and insights on claim trends to support continuous improvement.
