New Vacancy - Claims Specialist | PI & General Liability

I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Claims Specialist to join their growing team.

My client is looking for someone with strong PI & GL Claims experience, ideally from a Syndicate capacity but my client is open to Company Market backgrounds too. The role will be dealing with both classes of business from UK, US, Canada and Australia territories. This role comes with a high authority and you will be dealing with claims worth $500k+.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and managing claims submitted by brokers/insureds, appointing adjusters and lawyers, and reviewing their reports.
  • Managing litigation, reviewing third-party claims handling, setting reserves, arranging settlements, and resolving coverage disputes.
  • Handling complaints, managing litigation against Underwriters, and liaising with the market for specific claims.
  • Providing information for reinsurance claims and assisting with recoveries.
  • Monitoring delegated claims authorities and advising underwriters on major claims and policy form changes.
  • Preparing reports, supervising and training team members, and participating in management groups and meetings as required.
